Since we are a few days into December I felt it was time for me to make a few goals for the Christmas season. I set some goals at the start of the year and I have managed to stick to almost all of them which I am so proud of. So in the spirit of that I chose to make a few final targets and aspirations for the last month of this year. This small list will be things I will be getting up to over the next few weeks as well as things I’d love to do!
I have had my blog for just under a year now so I never got chance to do Blogmas last year. But I decided to take the plunge and try to blog posts from now up until Christmas. So far I have managed three days of Blogmas successfully and I hope I can continue to write blog posts.. That is definitely one of my top goals for this season to really challenge myself to write consistently each day. If I manage to that then it will be a really great accomplishment!
Put up the Christmas Decorations
We don’t usually go crazy with the Christmas decorations. Usually the tree goes up, some tinsel as well as the odd ornament scattered around the house. It’s always nice to put up the decorations, it makes a home feel so cosy. They will be going up a little sooner this year… purely for ‘photo’ purposes, can you blame me though! So it is definitely a task to get them up a little sooner than usual. But I’m looking forward to it, I can already hear the Christmas jingles.
Get A Christmas Day Outfit
Each year I always get a new outfit for Christmas Day. It’s nothing to fancy, usually a normal pair of jeans and a jumper. But it is items I can continue to wear beyond Christmas. So they definitely get their monies worth. If I was to go for a dress, then I wouldn’t get as much wear out of it as I don’t go to many events that require one.
Go On A Trip
After recently passing my Driving Test I feel like I have so much more freedom to explore and go visit different places. There is one trip planned so far for my mum’s Birthday. We will be going to Shrewsbury for the day so that will be lots of fun. It’s an adorable city filled with some amazing architecture and scenery. Hopefully there will be time to go out exploring some different areas and make the most of my new-found freedom.
Try Some Baking
I really don’t cook or bake enough. But I would love to try some quick and simple recipes this month to experiment more with food and flavours, with my mum’s expert guidance. Once thing that I would love to make is some Homemade Soup and Mince Pies. My nan makes some really nice pies so I’m feeling inspired to bake my own, hopefully they will be as good as hers. But there’s nothing better than getting home after being out in the cold, then tucking into some hearty soup. Or mince pies and a cup of tea!
So this has been my short list of things that I plan to do this month. I’ve left out some obvious ones such as wrapping gifts and visiting family as this is something I can imagine us all doing in the run up to Christmas.
