It is always so surprising to me how fast a week can go by especially when you are having an amazing time. Me and mum decide we should have a more relaxing day as we covered many things we wanted to see in Llandudno by Day 1 and Day 2 so we thought a more calm day was in the cards.
I was on a photography mission this day. I’m sure you are all aware of the pier by now after my last two blog posts, but the only problem I have with this pier is there is always people on there and it can get very busy. But me being me, I wanted a picture of the pier with nobody else on it. So as any determinded photographer would I headed out at the crack of dawn to get pictures of the pier as well as a few blog post pictures before any one else got in the shot. It was worth the early start.
When you are up early and walking along the promenade you usually see the locals who are on their morning runs or walking their pets and it has a calming atmosphere as their are no tourists around and it is so quiet. Me and mum got to the pier so early that it wasn’t even open and we had to wait for about 10 minutes but I was glad to get some pictures of the empty pier. After getting more than enough pictures it was time go get some breakfast!
After breakfast I noticed the waves were crashing to the shore quite strong as it was more of a windy day and the tide was coming in which meant another perfect photo opportunity. Whenever I have gone to Llandundo the water had always seemed calm and tranquil so this was something unusual. Mum took a few photo’s of me in my natural element as the water splashed up into the air.
It was then time to visit the shopping complex which was just a short 5 minute walk out of the town. In this area you can find Debenhams, New Look, JD Sports, Next etc… We kind of went there just for a wander but found some suitcases to replace the ones we brought which were breaking. The suitcases that we got were IT Luggage they were a reasonable price and were big enough to take all of our stuff with us, thankfully.
After a quick shopping trip it was time to head to Starbucks, this was where I editied and wrote the blog post about the Yellow Raincoat whilst enjoying a newly released Starbucks Drink – Popcorn Caramel Frappe which is very nice, it had the familar taste of a Caramel Frappe but with a twist. If you find yourself in a Starbucks I recommend you give this a try.
We went out exploring in the afternoon, the sun had come out in full glory to really warm up the place. This contrasted from the stormy waves from earlier in the day. It looked almost tropical against some of the plants along the front. One thing that makes Llandundo really beautiful is the array of colourful flowers and plants that makes up the borders and walkways.
For the evening me and mum walked over to the West Beach to enjoy sunset. The sun rises by the Little Orme and sets over the West Beach and it was so stunning to see the sun drop down below the horizen and to see the sky turn the most rich and vibrant hues. It was a bit of a rushed walk to get over there but it was totally worth it.
After that I enjoyed an evening drink at the pub and mum ordered herself a cup of tea. We sipped those down embrasing the last hints of light before we had a leisurely walk back to the hotel in the dark. We didnt explore much this day but Llandudno has never failed us for some stunning scenary and photographs.
