In September I went on the hunt for some skincare for my problematic skin. For the past few months my skin has been causing me nightmares and for the longest time nothing seemed to be working. Not even prescription creams! But this past month I was able to get my skin under control and things have seemed to calm down (fingers crossed). After doing a bit of research, reading up on a lot of forums and reviews I decided to test out The Ordinary.
I wasn’t fully sure on what would work best with my skin but I had a rough idea on what to get. But at the price tag, it was so affordable it meant I could experiment and test out products without feeling too guilty if I didn’t like them. Some products worked amazing whilst others were a miss… but I have seen an overall the improvement in my skin and right now it is just healing stage. So skincare was definitely up there with my favourites this month because it’s surprising what difference clear skin can make to your confidence.
Be sure to keep an eye out for an in-depth blog post on all The Ordinary products and my recommendations and reviews for each product!
I have been using the L’Oreal True Match Foundation for a while now and I was in need of repurchasing a new one as I had completly run out. This was the first time I have ever used up a full bottle of foundation, so I must love it! In my constant hunt for products to match my fair complexion I stumbled across L’Oreal and I found their productd went light enough at a price that was affordable. After following the recommendation of a very good friend I also tried the True Match Concealer which is honestly amazing, it is one of the few concealers I actually enjoy using as it doesn’t get ‘caked’ up or oxidise to a darker shade. Yay for that!
Driving is one thing that I have really been loving this past month even more than the previous. I feel like I have progressed so far in my own car in such a short space of time, as well as a lot of help from a driving instructor! As a learner I still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn but each month I seem to be stalling a lot less and venturing out a lot more. So bring on the adventures and road trips!
Now onto my last favourite for September. At the very end of the month I embarked on a journey up North with my Aunt to the wonderful lands of Scotland. It was a week long trip and I saw so many places, the views was just phenomenal. We visited lots of different areas and I got to experience Scotland for the very first time so it was truly lovely. I am currently in the process of writing a few blog posts so this will be coming out in the next few weeks.
So this post has summed up my favourites this month, they have varied a lot from skincare to travel but September is the start of Autumn, a time of year that I love and find really beautiful. So what is not to love this time of year!
What has been your favourite things to use or do in September? I would love to hear.
